Techniques: No-waste Flying Geese method, precision piecing
Construction Overview
Fabric Prep: The quilt uses a Ten Square pack (10” squares), cut into large and small squares, paired with background yardage.
Flying Geese Units: Each stack of fabric produces four matching Flying Geese blocks using the no-waste method. In total, you’ll create 112 Flying Geese blocks.
Pairs and Blocks: Two Flying Geese units are sewn together to create 56 square blocks measuring 8 ½” each.
Quilt Layout: The blocks are arranged into eight rows of seven blocks, with alternating orientation to create the illusion of geese in flight.
Finishing: Sew rows together, press seams, then quilt, baste, and bind as desired.
