Basket Instructions

Notes

1st round: With A, ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc around. Join. Break A. Join E.
2nd round: With E, ch 1. Working in both loops, 1 sc in each sc around. Join. Do not break E. Join B.
Keeping count of Basket Body Stripe Pattern, rep last round until 28 rounds of Basket Body Stripe Pattern are complete. Fasten off.

Handles (make 2)

With B, ch 25, leaving a 5″ [13 cm] tail for assembly.
1st row: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 24 sc.
2nd and 3rd rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Fasten off.

Finishing

Attach Handles: Using the yarn end, sew the first handle to the basket (as shown in the photo) being careful not to twist the handle. Attach the second handle in the same manner directly opposite the first handle.
Insert the purchased plastic bin (optional).
